We then hike back to the nearest village for an  experience in the traditional way of living, by sharing a homemade lunch with a local family at their adobe house.

 Experience this great hike (moderate – strenuous) to the top of the mountain through our lush jungle. Trek into the big chamber and learn about the geological origins of this limestone cavern. Admire stalactites, stalagmites and flow stones. See  ancient carvings,  indicating the use of the site as a ceremonial center and astronomical observatory for the prediction of agriculture, rains and drought cycles.

 Come enjoy  a 45 minute boat ride to Ixtapa island departing from Majahua Village (north of Troncones). Once there snorkel along the reef to see many different species of fish, crustaceans, mollusk and corals that represent the local biodiversity. On our boat ride we have the chance to admire the beautiful coast line and see whales, dolphins and sea turtles.  After snorkeling there is a time to relax on the white sand beach, and enjoy an optional fresh seafood lunch at our favorite beachfront palapa.
