Our History

Costa Nativa Ecotours is located in Troncones Guerrero, México. 

It was created in 2005 by Oceanographer Alejandro Rodriguez Pruneda with the goal to share, educate and preserve the cultural and natural richness of this region of Mexico.

Through low impact activities like hiking, bicycling and kayaking, we explore the sea, lagoons, rivers and mountains observing the amazing biodiversity of flora and fauna. During the tours we experience the local people and their way of life, their relation with the ecosystem and the main problems that put the environment at risk .

 At this time the growing population of rural towns and the lack of economic alternatives in the area has caused over-exploitation of our natural resources.

In response, Costa Nativa Ecotours looks for new sustainable activities and economic alternatives like ecotourism and organic agriculture to preserve our natural environment and support rural communities way of life.
